Victory Super Kraken (VX100) Kemper Profiles

Could this be the best British metal / rock amplifier of all time? It’s possible, it really is. Offering a clean and crunch channel but includes two gain options and a preamp boost (coined Preamp Focus which reacts similar to a traditional tube screamer) this thing is a BEAST. This pack features 36 DIRECT (extensively captured and refined with each setting in alteration) and 48 STUDIO profiles with boosts from a Maxon 808 (more coming soon). Cabs include Mesa Boogie, Marshall (Modern and Vintage) , Orange, Bogner, and TWO signature blend of my own design plus tone matched material featuring Rabea Massaad (including official settings) all backed with industry standard MD421/SM57 microphones.

What is surprising with this amp is the clean channel, we knew the crunch gain modes will be fantastic but the overhead room on the clean allows you to sculpt a really surprisingly delightful clean break up tone and it reacts ridiculously good! To compensate for the amp dynamics I’ve also created variations of profiles for various guitars including the famous Les Paul and Stratocaster – mix and matching is welcome but if you’re wanting a proper CLEAN STRAT tone, it’s here – included … and it sounds GREAT but don’t worry metal heads, everything has been created with you in mind.

Marshall JCM 800 2210 (1983) Kemper Profiles

An original unmodified 1983 Marshall JCM 800 2210 is here for your playing enjoyment. This two channel early 80s Marshall amp is a perfect example of the famous rock tone cut and dry. This version is a lot different to the famous 2203 version. It has two channels, clipping diodes and plentiful of prominent mids. I would consider this a very open ended up – loose on the low end but very mid focused for that. This has a very distinctive sound – not very bright and takes pedals extremely well to push it to overdrive territory.

This pack currently features 13 DIRECT profiles and 34 STUDIO profiles captured using various EQ stages. Cabs include our Marshall 1960A 4×12 cab , Mesa Boogie 4×12 with MD421/SM57 industry standard combination plus signature cab tones for those wanting a high gain ‘more modern’ tone of my own design. Boosts include; Boss SD1, Maxon 808, Keeley 808, Wylde OD, Linear PB, Klon Centaur, Graviton Boost and a Savage drive for more tonal options. The primary chunk of the profiles are designed using a Les Paul guitar and are marked as so but we also have put together a small selection Strat profiles which will be expanded upon also. The wonderful PRS MT15 is the signature amp of Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge and it’s now finally here at the ReampZone store. A two channel 15 watt monster this lunch box style amp certainly packs a punch and more. This is a very hot and high gain rock and metal amp but it can also do some nice cleans and decent crunch but ultimately the lead channel is where its at with blistering gain and prominent mids, this surely is something any KPA owner would want.

The pack is features; 20 DIRECT , 11 MERGED and 59 STUDIO profiles and all DIRECT profiles have been charted appropriately whilst the studio counter parts are tagged via the rig manager .

Marshall JMP Super Lead (1976) – Kemper Profiles

If you’re looking for a ‘special’ Marshall JMP (Built in 1976) tone then look no further than what we have captured here. This is one of the “GOOD” ones. As original as original can be with an inclusion of an circuit mod from the late 70s has been kept, why? Because it has that ‘special something‘.

This pack is currently under updates for 2020 revisions with specific guitars and has 20 STUDIO Stratocaster profiles, 14 STUDIO Les Paul profiles and 10 STUDIO PRS profiles and 31 DIRECT profiles ready for playing. We have captured the current 2020 profiles using our wonderful Marshall 1960A and will be adding an additional vintage Marshall cab from the 70s (and original 70s speakers) very shortly. Not to be outdone by the mod itself we have two boosts featured from a Linear Power booster and the Boss SD1.

Bogner Uberschall Twin Jet Kemper Profiles

An exceptionally unique amp in the sense that it produces a ton of prominent mids that can be dialed-in many different ways. Not to be confused with it’s brother – the single channel Uberschall , the Twin Jet offers two high gain mid mad tones perfect for the modern rock enthusiast and hardcore metal-head. Whilst it’s not known for its cleans it does it convincingly plus lovely crunchy rock tones, but once you turn up the gain and dial the mids you can see its literally wanting to be played hard – loud and fast. For further djentifaction (yes, I made that up!) I’ve added a few super tight Fortin 33 profiles on-top.

Peavey Classic 30 Kemper Profiles

A small limited run of heads exist for the Peavey Classic 30 before being transformed into the current combo version that is on sale today. This is the original that was put on sale and you can consider it the best. A two channel amplifier which covers crystal cleans to a dirty crunch often reminiscent of a vintage amplifier. Whilst packing 30 watts Peavey included three 12AX7 and four EL84 tubes into this head giving you a lot of tone under the hood, some may call this excessive but I think it serves its purpose.

Pack currently featured 14 DIRECT profiles and 24 STUDIO profiles including various boosts from third party pedals including: Klon Centaur, Duncan 805, Boss Blues Driver, Mesa Boogie Flux Overdrive and a Suhr Riot. Hughes and Kettner Switchblade Kemper Profiles

Often times you’ll find an amp that slips under the rader for many reasons , in this instance it was due to timing. H&K brought out a lot of amplifiers aimed at a wider scope of people and sadly Switchblade 100 was forgotten about. Upon it’s release it was seen as a great future prospect incorporating tubes and digital channel selection – sounds great … right but then digital profilers came along and it got left in the dust.

Offering four channels, Clean – Crunch – Lead and Ultra this I would consider more of a hard rock / metal amplifier. The cleans are crisp and the crunch is certainly crunchy but the lead channel shines through with its smooth bottom end whilst the ultra is a very high gain and loose and thus we also included a few boosted profiles to tighten the low end with our MXR Wylde OD , Seymour Ducan805 and a Fortin 33.

This pack features 10 DIRECT and 35 STUDIO profiles made with our Mesa Boogie 4×12 /Bogner 4×12 and an SM57 / MD421. If you want a big thumping low end or something different, get this!

Fuchs Blackjack 21 MKII Kemper Profiles

Based around the famed Dumble amplifiers the Fuchs Blackjack MKII is a simplistic user friendly amp with a vintage and familiar sound. Two channels – Clean and Overdrive giving you a much flavourful tone. Whilst the clean channel says “clean” its actually more of an overdrive whilst the actual overdrive channel can be considered a ‘hot-rodded’ so you won’t find many cleans here. Classed as an ‘organic’ sound this will fit well in any rock players collection especially if you’re wanting rhythms or leads with more bite and body. It’s snappy, clear and overall a solid tube powered head that any Fuchs/Dumble fan will appreciate. This a crunch over-driven hot-rodded pack made and worked around for single coil pickups but will work on any guitar but we recommended high quality pickups whether its active, passive, single coil or humbucker. Each profile is 100% sourced via the head only with no external boosts or pedals.

It is hard for me to put into words how fantastic this head is. 100w of pure unadulterated power with the biggest bottom end I’ve ever heard on an amplifier , EVER. A killer head perfect for the metal enthusiast you’ll find 22 DIRECT and 59 STUDIO profiles ready for your hard banging needs. All three channels have been profiled and noted and includes a direct settings chart for the direct users. High gain madness , this amp should be put on a pedestal or something because everyone should have one. Due to the nature of this beast and how the Kemper attempts to profile low end I’ve reduced it a fair bit to make it more “user friendly” but fear not – it still sounds killer!
